Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET)
Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) is one of the most common plastics utilized in the plastic industry. PET’s attributed strength and versatility have made its use commonplace amongst many product manufacturers; Ink cartridges, automobiles, furniture and the single-use plastic bottles – hence a high supply of it exists as a potential feedstock resource.
Our Vypet™ series is created from clean, recycled, post-consumer Polyethylene Terephthalate, thus closing the loop from landfill as a renewed thermoplastic polyester resin.
Thanks to our proprietary formulating and manufacturing capabilities, we can upcycle our Vypet™ series into various polyester compounds (Polyethylene Terephthalate – PET, Polybutylene Terephthalate – PBT) for enhanced reuse. These fabricated polyester compounds are proven suitable to serve applications of the automotive industry, electrical and electronic components, and within appliances/furniture. These applications are a testament of Vypet™’s favourable strength, stiffness, chemical resistance, heat deflection temperature and dielectric strength.
